Sprint Consulting is an Oslo-based consulting firm with a vision to help create tomorrow's businesses. Sprint invests a lot of time and effort into ensuring that candidates have a good experience with the recruitment process. Julie Tufte-Johnsen is a recruitment manager at Sprint, and describes some of the measures they take to ensure that candidates feel valued.
“We usually follow up with candidates by phone to create a good relationship. On appropriate occasions, we also give gifts, in the form of Morning Delivery, physical gift cards or homemade gift packages.”
She finds that the candidates really appreciate the gifts, but for Sprint it hasn't been all joy and laughter. Some of the challenges she has experienced with gift-giving in the past include:

When the gifts were sent, Julie was excited about the response from the recipients. After a little initial worry, she found peace of mind when the warm feedback started coming in.
“We received incredibly positive feedback from the gift recipients. The fact that we didn't ask for information in advance made it a surprise, so it was really nice to give and receive. Many also really appreciated that they could use the gift for whatever they wanted.”
