Anko is a consulting engineering company, with 125 employees spread across 7 offices in Norway. With their leading expertise in geomatics, industrial measurement and machine control, they have provided services to customers and projects across Europe since 1975.
They place great emphasis on delivering quality, and their vision is to be responsible, accurate, competent and organized. This also reflects how they take care of their employees, and at Christmas it is a tradition to give all employees a nice treat in the form of a gift card.
Mette Maarnes Pedersen is CEO of Anko, and explains why gift cards have become the preferred choice.
“Our employees appreciate receiving gift cards so they have the freedom to buy anything they want.”
But experiences with other gift cards have not been exclusively positive.
“The problem with other gift cards is that there have been restrictions on where they can be used, and there has been no notification when the expiration date is approaching. Most other gift cards also cannot be used abroad,” explains Mette.
**A simpler gift card**
When deciding on this year's Christmas present, Mette checked out Glede , and it didn't take long before the choice was made by the leadership team.
“I thought it seemed extremely easy to both send and use the gift card.”
Mette highlights several specific things she particularly likes. Glede :

**Only positive feedback**
The distribution was planned so that all employees received the gift at 12:00 on Christmas Eve. Afterwards, the pleasant feedback has poured in.

“I think it's great that the gift card can be used everywhere in Norway and the world. We have a number of foreign employees who now have the opportunity to use this in their home country,” says Mette.
She has also managed to use the gift card herself, and despite her lack of experience with digital payment cards, she thinks it went seamlessly.
“I got the hang of it right away. It was incredibly easy to use!” says Mette.
After sending out Christmas presents, Mette has had time to use Glede in connection with anniversaries, photo competitions and birthdays. She summarizes how she would describe the service to others who have not heard of Glede .
