Yes, Glede works for both iPhone and Android users.

The following could be reasons why it did not work to use the gift card:

• You tried to pay for something that was more expensive than your available balance on Glede Card. If you want to pay for something that exceeds your available balance, you must make a partial payment at checkout. Ask to split the payment by paying the available balance from Glede Card first, before paying the balance with another card.
• The payment you tried to make will result in you spending more than SEK 1,500 on Glede Card during the current month. At present, the card has a limit that allows you to spend a maximum of NOK 1,500 per month. The amount limit is reset on the 1st of each month.
• Glede Card may be blocked. You can unlock and lock Glede Card under the "Me and my Joy Card" tab in the menu in the app.
• You tried to use Glede Card at Vinmonopolet, but the company that sent you the gift does not allow you to use it on alcohol.

The gift is valid for at least 1 year. The recipient can choose to pass on the gift to one of our donation partners or use the gift themselves via Glede Card. Glede Card can be used without fees for 1 year. We send automatic reminders to ensure that the recipient uses the gift card within 1 year.

Should the recipient not use their gift card within 1 year, a maintenance fee of NOK 30 per month will be deducted from the remaining balance. If inactivity exceeds 12 months, an inactivity fee of NOK 50 per month will be charged. Glede Card itself is valid for 36 months. If you want a new card after this, a reissue fee of NOK 100 will be charged, deducted from any remaining balance. We therefore encourage the recipient to use the gift card within the first 12 months to avoid fees.

Gifts always expire at 23:59 on the expiration date.

No, Glede Card is not a credit card. Glede Card is a prepaid, digital Mastercard® card. Glede Card has many of the same features as a regular bank card, but it is in no way linked to your bank account. So you can never incur credit card debt on Glede Card.

You don't need a PIN code to make payments with Apple or Google Pay. Should you be prompted for a code, use Face ID or enter your regular lock code to access your digital wallet. This code is identical to the one you use to unlock your mobile phone.

However, when shopping online with Glede Card , you may be asked to enter a code. In such cases, you will also be asked for your phone number, after which a one-time code will be sent to you via SMS. You must then enter this code to complete your purchase.

The amounts from all the gifts you receive are entered into your Glede Card . It is topped up with money when you receive a gift, and deducted for money when you use the card or a gift expires. When you spend money from the card, the money will always be deducted from the gift that expires first.

No, it doesn't. The money deducted from the card is only the money you pay in the store.

You can spend up to 1,500 kr a month from Glede Card. Thus, NOK 1,500 is the largest transaction amount possible from the card. The spending limit is reset to zero on the first of each calendar month.
