SpotOn automated the bonus program and increased sales by 20%

SpotOn is owned by Elektroimportøren , and sells pre-assembled electrical services. They want to make a sometimes opaque industry more predictable and easy to deal with for customers, while delivering high-quality services. 

SpotOn has partnership agreements that incentivize over 500 sellers to resell services from their product portfolio. To increase sales through partners, they decided to create an internal overview where sellers can see the bonuses they have earned. When they have accumulated enough bonus points, they wanted to give sellers the opportunity to redeem the points for a gift card. 

André Swensen is CEO of SpotOn, and explains that there were primarily two things they were looking for: 

“We wanted an automated system where we didn’t have to send out the gift cards manually. That would have been unnecessarily time-consuming for us. In addition, we wanted an incentive that was attractive to absolutely everyone. It’s absolutely necessary for a bonus program to work,” he says.

Integrated in a couple of hours

André heard about Glede from a friend, and after reading the website he thought it looked promising. He then set up a meeting with Glede -team.

“I realized early on that this would be a good solution for us. Glede "Their API had all the features we needed, and the documentation was easy to understand. Plus, it was nice that we could design the gift with SpotOn's colors and logo," says André.

It was plug and play. Our developer spent a couple of hours implementing and testing the API integration.

A simple bonus program

André tells a little about how the program is set up. 

“Sellers earn bonuses based on how much they sell. At any time, they can see how many points they have in an internal overview. When they reach 500 NOK in earned bonuses, they can redeem them in a Glede -gift cards as a reward. It happens completely automatically when they click a button within the system.”

He tells what he appreciates about Glede :

André has been monitoring how the resale of services has developed since the program started in March. The result is a 20% increase in sales through partner agreements, and more than 250 sellers have started earning bonus points.

“The program has been a great success for us so far! We have measured a 20% increase in sales through partners since the launch of the bonus program. In addition, the program has received a lot of positive feedback in our internal workspace.”

One of our sellers has already withdrawn 8 gift cards as a bonus.

André highlights that he is incredibly satisfied with how easy it has been to set up and administer the program, while also ensuring that sellers receive a reward that they actually want.
